Golf can be arranged at our 18 hole, par 72 local course, and there are plenty of onlookers to cheer you on, including a colony of weaver birds.

Pinewood has it's own dive shop which caters for all levels of scuba diver, from complete novice, where tuition is given by a qualified Dive master in our pool, to the huge number of coral reefs available along the coast for qualified divers.

Diving in the Indian Ocean is among the best in the world, and you can train in the pool before setting off for an ocean dive on one of the many reefs in the Wasini national Marine park, right by the border with Tanzania.

Kinondo - this is one of the best dive sites in the area with a depth at anchor of 14mtrs and maximum depth of 40mtrs, with occasional strong currents. There is a nice drop off around 16mtrs to 40mtrs with lots of pelagic fish, barracuda, king fish, large schools of snapper, occasional shark and whale shark.
Maisha Marefu - depending upon the current, this dive can be a drift dive starting at 12mtrs to 30mtrs for about 1km. Good pelagic fish including Amberjack, barracuda, king fish, turtles and fine soft corals can be seen on this dive. This dive is suitable for intermediate to experienced divers.
Baobab - starting at 12mtrs to 25mtrs with a small drop off reef turtle city with normally guaranteed Hawksbill turtles. With blue spotted rays, giant puffer fish and great soft corals, this is a great site for both beginners and experienced divers.
Shark Alley - the name lends itself to the Guitar Sharks averaging a size of 1.5mtrs which have only been found in this area. This dive site runs from about 12mtrs to 25mtrs with the white tip reef shark to be seen sleeping in small caves. You will find plenty of turtles including Green and Hawksbill. This is a good dive site for all standards of divers.

Tiwi - a sharp drop off reef starting at about 9mtrs to 30mtrs. Here good pelagic fish, large schools of snapper and big stingray about 1.5mtrs can be seen hiding in the numerous caves in the reef wall. This is a fantastic dive when conditions are good, however this reef is next to Tiwi River and can be prone to silting and therefore low visibility. Normally dived at high tide this site is suitable for intermediate and experienced divers.
WAA Wreck - this is a 2nd world war survey ship that lies upside down in around 27mtrs of water. Spotted here are large grouper, resident schools of large snapper and hundreds of lion fire-fish. Schools of almost stationery sweet lips and leopard moray can also be seen here. This site is not suitable for beginners.

Although we have listed only a few dives here there are many others that are very large areas and can take around 5 dives to complete the entire reef. Kinondo is the closest to Pinewood Village Beach Resort.

Other activities on offer include big game fishing, horse-riding, tennis, squash, table tennis, beach volleyball snorkelling, sailing and camel rides.

A range of water sports are available from the dive shop.
